Painter

Gyuok

Gyuok visualizes and records intangible emotions and memories—such as the warmth between people, shared smiles, lingering regrets of the past, and hopes for the future—by translating them onto the canvas. Rooted in a strong belief in the essence of painting itself, she is regarded as an important abstract painter within the contemporary Korean art scene, drawing parallels to her mentor, Sean Scully, a master of modern abstract painting. She received her painting diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (Germany) and completed her doctoral coursework in Fine Arts at Dongduk Women’s University in Korea. Her practice has expanded through university teaching, international residencies including KunstDock in Leipzig and Art Factory in Dadaepo (Busan), and the Jaar Ferngas Förderpreis Junge Kunst award. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions as well as international art fairs, and currently lives and works in the United States.

Painter

Noel PARK

Park Noeul is an artist who graduated from the Department of Painting at Hongik University and has held over 40 solo and group exhibitions.

In her work, she places herself into everyday objects such as cups and flowerpots—fragile, passive forms that can easily break if handled without care. These objects become quiet containers for stories she cannot openly share, gently holding emotions, memories, and unspoken experiences.

The empty spaces within these objects are filled with layered narratives and personal recollections. By giving voice to these silent companions through speech bubbles, the artist visualizes countless stories that exist beyond language, transforming the unseen and unheard into subtle, emotional forms.
